Lots of Good News!

Sachio had a fabulous showing in the open plowing class at Southlake today and snagged his final point in Intermediate and has now moved up to Advanced level classes!  We are all jumping for joy around here.  Absolutely amazing to have a first generation rare breed doing so well.  So next month I will be training him myself to see where he stands and to get him whipped into shape to move on.  I am really excited about working with him.

More good news, although not near as exciting, is that I worked with all my year 193 babies that just turned 2 years old this month.  They did so good!  All but Emi were fully ground trained and did fabulously well.  By the end of the month, GingerStarrHawk and Memzie were walking out very well and Ginger was even stopping pretty good and the others were slowly catching on.  As they get that I will start them turning and then working on the other gaits, trot and canter.  I only worked with them for about 20 minutes each and I was really impressed.  They could have handled more, but I didn't have enough time, drat my outside job!  I am taking more time off next month to work more with them and my boy, Chio.

So that is what is going on this month for Prairie Rose Farms.  At Prairie Rose Stables, my English in-hand and pleasure horses are doing fabulously well in their classes and I am hoping for some advancements over there really soon.  It is an exciting time for Prairie Rose!
